Reviving an older thread here -

I'm heading out to Port Dalhousie this weekend and it's my first time fishing the area. I will be targeting pike and was hoping I could get some input from those who have experience. I will have my boat with me and will be heading out in the morning for the better part of the day.

Any lures/baits you've had success with? Anyone had luck with spring pike fishing in the area?

@DILLIGAF?! let me know if you had any luck on your trip bud.

Thanks all,

Hey man, I have fished port Dal occasionally. When I go to Niagara I make sure to drop by there for some quickie...mostly browns is what I target with mooselook spoons.

Awesome, thanks for the tip. Might have pick up some mooselooks in case the pike decide they want to hide all day.

Pike, one word, daredevils unless that is 2 words, lol. The red and white seem to drive them nuts.
Also read an articule recently that 5 of Diamonds spoons can be killer for them.

Thanks Alfie,

Are you speaking from experience at Port Dalhousie? or just general pike fishing tips? Either way, much appreciated!

Just experience, daredevils have never failed me in almost 50 yrs of pike fishing, just learning about the 5 Diamonnds, bought a couple last week to try out.
Triuth be told, I have amazed some friends with red and white over the yrs. Daredevils for pike are awesome. Thanks Dad.
