Any ideas where i can take him that we can throw a worm on a float, sit down and let him catch a couple of panfish?  Honestly even if he catches a minnow he'd probably be excited (as would I).

I'm not looking for honey holes here.. just somewhere that gives him the chance to catch something, without us spending hours there.

Thanks in advance.

Hate to burst the bubble on GP but there has been an issue there. Some of these photos are shocking, real shame.

As for Brampton there is many lakes and ponds that have pretty good fishing. Heart lake and professors are both good worms are a guaranteed catch at either.

Thanks for the responses and the suggestions! I'll give heart lake and professors lake a try since they're very close to us.  We'll move on to lake aquataine from there. :)

Much appreciated.

i m going to ken whillans resource management area tomorrow at around 7 am. its in brampton and its a great spot to catch panfish. there is a bait and tackle store where you park and pay for admission. if u want to go there, pm me. im 14 years old and started fishing at age 6. i get it, kids can be very impatient.... all they want is some action.

anyways good luck.

Professors is a good spot to catch a variety of fish.

There's a spot opposite of Heart Lake which has a lot of Sunfish and the odd Goldfish swimming around.

He loves fishing and is a natural. He will be 3 in Novemeber, he can cast his own dinky rod about 20' or so under the right conditions.

Absolutely 100% agree with Lure's suggestion to not go with anybody you know personally know. And even then, take someone with you.
