Hey guys, as the summers comes to an end I'm in the same predicament I'm in every fall. Every year I go after school fall fishing either on a river or a lake. And usually end up either skunked or on occasion catch the odd fish. I need help!! I'm not sure of the setups, speed or action I should give my bait to catch these fall fish. I'm heading up to silent lake today for a camping trip with my girfriend for the weekend and am hoping to nail some trophy fish. Any help is appreciated just leave a comment or shoot me a PM. I'm stumped at this moment and don't want the weekend to be a bombed trip.

Silent Lake is hard to fish from shore. If you have a boat you should have no issue.

Hey Robert, Its the season of cold fronts.  Fish will go a little deeper and sleep it off.  If you can get your hands on something that can float you to drop-offs and deeper structure a little off shore, a slower presentation near bottom may wake them up enough to take.

Later in the fall when the trees are changing colours, game fish will be feeding like mad in protected shallow areas where all the minnows are.  Bays, inlets, rocky shore cliffs, stream heads.

Don't you just love live target? I've caught so many fishes on the perch and bluegill pattern. Have you tried the live target jointed perch one yet?
