Hi all,

New to S. Ontario from Thunder Bay. I'm looking to become familiar with some trout and salmon fishing around Guelph for the fall. Feeling a little overwhelmed by all the private land around here and would love some insight on where and how to access some streams/rivers and lakes.

Any stocked lakes around Guelph?

Cheers!

Steph.

hey Outdoor_one, welcome to the site. Im not sure if your post was already edited but if it wasnt I see no issue with the post. We have a rule here about not naming rivers because the internet is a dangerous creature and can ruin fishing holes. If you are looking to fish in a stocked pond where you pay to keep the fish I am sure a google search will turn up a few options in the guelph area. As for river fishing for trout just take a look through the fishing regulations, any rivers listed in there with special regs on trout will hold fish. Basically any major tributary going into lake ontario, georgian bay, lake huron or erie will hold trout in the next little while.

Do a search on this site as well and you will be surprised at the amount of info you can find. Stick around, contribute and it wont be long before you are the one offering up info for your friends.
