Bought a fishing backpack from Cabela's today. It has good reviews and is on sale for a good price. I like how the setup includes an inner velcro divider where you can separate the inner backpack from tackle trays or if you want, you can remove some or all of the trays to create more space. The waist clasp also has zippered pockets to put more stuff.

You'll like it, they're solid reels. I have a 1000 and it has served me well.

I dug through the bins at SAIL and found some cool stuff.

Rebel topwater lures - 1.99 each

Creek Chub Striper Strike - $3

YUM grubs - marked as 1.50, rang up for 0.99

Got into a deal for a Shimano Convergence 10'6 and Okuma Sheffield 4.5 with some floats and maybe some terminal tackle for 180... Hopefully it's a good deal. I trust my buddy that hooked it up though. Can't wait to pick it up.. What do you guys think?

Have had this reel for 3 years now. Great reel IMO. Cleaned it out and re-greased it this past season and it feels like new again.

YYZ - LIM - CUZ - IQT...and back...It's going to be fun!

People spend money on gear...I just spend it on travels to fishing destinations. ;-)

Very cool! A couple of year ago, I booked a trip to Pangnirtung, NU for hiking and Arctic Char fishing, but had to cancel when my buddy invited me to his wedding.

I was going to visit NWT and NU this summer, but the offer to Peru was too good to pass up. Hope everything will fall into place for NWT and NU next summer.

Good luck on the Arctic Char.

I spent over 3 years living there. Was too busy working to fully enjoy the outdoors. One of my biggest regrets.

No big deal...I can go to NU again in the future. Buddy's wedding is more important. The consolation prize wasn't that "bad". I switched the ticket to visit my aunt, cousin and friends in Californiaa couple of weeks after the wedding...and caught 44 new species in California.
