I not gonna lie, I thought my line got snagged on the bottom so I was trying to pull up to unsnag.

But it was actually a fish on.  When the salmon started to splash it scared the poop out of me.

After going 0-8 on my last 2 trips, I learned to let the rod wrestle the fish and not go crazy trying to quickly reel it in.

The last thing I wanted was the fish to pull my line down river.

It felt good to finally land one.

Yup, I was using a gopro on a chest mount.  I'm still new to filming/editing and fishing so please forgive the long video.

The first time I hooked onto a salmon, I tried to record with my iphone and reeling at the same time.

Let's just say the salmon ran down river and gone it went...haha.

First hook up with the centerpin today.  I went 0-1 and I believe it was a Steelhead.

The body was all chrome and it looked to have weighed around 5-10lbs?

Noooooo! I was so disappointed to see it get away! At least you got to fight it awhile. Get back out there and get another one! Good luck!
