What times do you like fishing at?

When do you start/end fishing?

whenever i can get out, lol! I prefer first light for trout and all ice fishing species, for almost all other species i have found dusk to be very productive, for pike and crappies ill only start fishing around 7-8ish in the summer.

any time is the best time!

but depends really.

most cases i find first light for about 2 hours is usually good then around 3pm theres a small pickup bite then evening..

and for salt water an hour before, during and after high tide gets it going for me.

but for real any time is best ;)

An ideal summer day:

Wake up @ 6:00. Drink 2 cups of coffee and eat 3 eggs, over easy, with 5 strips of bacon, and 3 slices of toast.

Hit the water by 7:00. Fish until 11, sticking to the shaded side of the lake.

Clean fish, drink a couple beers, shore lunch at noon.  Relax in the shade, have a swim, gather firewood, drink a couple brews until it's 4:30. Start prepping then eat dinner.

Fish on the shaded side of the lake at 5:30, and fish until 10.

Have a fire.  Drink beers, eat copious amounts of junk food.

6AM breakfast? phew, I don't really plan for the mornings but if anything I would probably just eat a bunch a little before I sleep so that I can get a head start in the morning. Nothing like early mornings with a little bit of fog during bass season!

Late afternoon to twilight seems to be my prime time for the bite.

I'll only drag myself out of bed for the early bite on the stream, otherwise, I'll sleep in until noon. lol.

heres the normal time/ fishing sched for me on long summer days, wake up like 7 am fish till 10 mostly for bass and walleye, dock up and eat something, then head to my carping spots right after till about 5 pm, head back to the boat, then the nightime bass and pickerel mix if im lucky, till the mosquitoes annoy the hell out of me and the float is not visible anymore, then eat dinner on shore, then fish till 11ish pm then smash the bed, same cycle over again from friday morning to monday morning on the long weekends, then recoup the rest of the night and back to work in the morning, addiction by all means!

I'm an addict, often out first light to last light 2-3 times a week. I don't eat before I go as I am not normally hungry so early I just pack lots of food for the day. These 14 hour days are taking a tole on me, been having a couple shore naps between protein bars and caffeine infusions

DitchWizard, isnt it surprising that you dont feel hunger fishing out the whole day, only time you feel hunger is when you actually call it a day, im pretty much the same thing,

all day evey day but moring is the best have a good one

DK, always have been first light, but im too sluggish to make it to the water before first light! LOL!!!
