Hey,

I was out jiggin for some lakers today with my hds and i found that my graph would mark my tube fine but it would mark like 5 or 6 lines moving up and down perfectly with the tube. I just put new tuffline briad on my line and i am wondering if anyone has dealt with this before either open water or ice fishing and if anyone has any recommendations.

Also when i turn my sensitivity up past about 75 in 80+ feet of water every time i run my trolling motor (Motorguide Xi5 with pinpoint and built in lowrance transeducer) i get bad interferance. Is there any way to get rid of this? The graph is on a different battery then the motor guide.

Any advice is greatly appreciated,

Thanks

This was the biggest caught today, 14 lbs

Where abouts do you live? I'd contact the boys at angling outfitters in Woodstock if I was you.. They know everything and anything lowrance.. And know a ton about the HDS models

No problem!! Iv learned a lot myself from the guys at angling outfitters.. The hds models are expensive units and most people don't know how to use them properly.

Ya I have 2 hds 7s gen 2 and am very familiar with them. The motorguide Xi5 is still so new it is hard find any trouble shooting on it. It has a built in lowrance transducer so there isn't supposed to be any interference but when i call motorguide they tell me its a lowrance issue and vice versa when i call lowrance. Just gotta sit around and wait until someone figures it out. Until then i'll just run it off my back sonar.

My guess it's a motorguide problem.. But I could be wrong. Reason I say this tho is I have 2 friends that had problems with their minn kota built in transducers.. And have went and bought normal transducers to put on their minn kotas.. Might wanna try that.. I know it's not ideal or cheap for a transducer (70-80 bucks)
