I may be able to come out for this, gotta check with the wife and see what the plans are for that weekend, my birthday is the day before  :D   Ill let you know a firm answer later on this month.

Would love to meet you lot, Im in need of some fly fishing buddies, all my fishing buddies are into bait fishing.  Even in the fall, I fish with pinners. No fly buddies :cry:

 

I would tie up some of these crawdads again,  worked miracles last few summers for the grand river bass derby (tradition in my house). and throughout the summer.

As for the spey, I think all the big steelies are gone by now.  If the bass were bigger, would be fun to fish them with my spey rod.

ya, just bloggin my own personal fishing adventures.

 

...tied up a few of these last night for carp.  They also work awesome on bass.....AWESOME!!!!

Maybe you should look into a 5 wt or 6 wt spey...

Crays, bigger streamers, dragon flies. Basically all you need. Least you could tie these with your old eyes haha.. Will be good to see you there again man enjoyed fishing with you.
