Ande  mono   great diameter, cheap, tried, tested and truly the best bang for your buck.  $8.99 for a spool and you should get two reels from one spool.   Why spend the money when this stuff works like a charm

this...very versatile line. I was reluctant to switch to ande from trilene but once I did. it was a good switch....not a lot of price difference between the 2 but i find ande to be more durable. handled a 25lb salmon on roids like a champ. It's so affordable I don't use any backing on it.

Just bought some blood run floating mono, going to put it on a pin and see how it does. Quite pricey for 200 yards at 16.99 but hell the stuff floats. We'll see how she fishes

I use Gamma 10lb. on my HMX outfit.

I tried that stuff and found it to be outright garbage line. It beds like crazy, and after one outing was all knicked and frayed. I bought mine at HLS in guelph and im going to let Ray know how junk it is. Very soft and subtle line...but one outting its junk. I did fight one big bow on it, but beds bad and sticks to the rod blank lots too. Im going back to raven...like it the best, and ive tried lots.

Been using pline CXX for the last few seasons. 8lb for steelies, 10lb for salmon, it's pretty thick stuff, but doesn't bed.  Just picked up 12lb sunline and will give it a try in the next few weeks.
