Hey guys:

any suggestions on where I could go on Belwood with decent shore access? The conservation area seems to provide decent access, but I'm guessing the gatehouse closes at 8 pm. Maybe along Highway 18?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yeah fair. I'm from Northern Ontario though, and going for over a month without a couple pike just seems wrong!

Pike are a joke down here compared to up there haha. But the river does have some big pike. We had a monster months ago when a group of us went and it broke off. It had to of been over around or just over 40. And that was below the shand dam.

But the river offers world class brown trout fishing.

That'd be such a rush. It wasn't on fly equipment was it? I'm hoping to toss around some streamers when I go home in August.

Check out 14:15 and 21:45 -

No we switched over to spinning gear once we fished below the dam. Going after eyes and pike. But the things head would only fit in a smaller net for trout.

Probably the biggest pike ive seen in a river. Lol.
