Hey guys,

Got out the other day before the monster lightening storm hit - got a walleye first, then about 30 minutes later got the pike on my ultra light.

rare rod: 6ft LG customs rod  - see if anyone can put two and two together on who makes those rods now :)

Have a great weekend everyone.

LG custom of mount hope. Owner/ operator was Lorne Green (no not the bonanza guy) and he was one of the originals to supply steelhead float blanks and build materials, float reels etc to the ontario market. He also imported a lot of loomis blanks pre shimano, and was responsible for the loomis ( tournament drifter) float reel, although have heard there is a bit of a story there. I believe he also brought in some early LG branded Stanton's etc. He had stuff when no-one else did. The rods aren't rare per say, but it's nice to have a piece of history even if it isn't one of his float rods. He also was the guy behind the frontier rods line, I think they where made for LG by batson, but that's not gospel! Anyway, nice rod and nice fish!
