most of those trashers are kids.

maybe but some of the worst I've seen are adults as well. Me and a few guys I regularly fish with were on a popular spot and one dude throw an empty bottle water right in front of us....my friend called him out and it seems he doesn't understand english...but with the right "sign language" we used, he finally got the drift and waded in his jeans to retrieve his bottle....

I upsets me as well. The worst is the amount of fishing line that gets tossed in bushes etc etc. killing of the birds, wildlife. It is unfortunate, and I have witnessed that it is absolutely brutal on the Lake O tribs. There is a little more to fishing than catching fish.

Pigs are pigs, when they are done with the rivers they make a mess out of our lakes. Lake Simcoe takes a beating every winter with these looting sons of @#$#@s . Do your part Ladies and Gents confront and pack an empty garbage bag.

most of those trashers are kids.

I would like to say they are. But they are not, they are what we call loogans.

Most, but I cannot say all, kids want to be able to fish their waters over and over again.

Alfie.

Great topic. It's nice to see that some people still care for the land and water. Whenever I am around kids fishing, especially my own kids, I alway spend a few minutes cleaning up the area I fish. This will be something I hope my kids pass on to my grandchildren and rub off on the other fishers that are around. I strongly believe this helps me catch more fish!

I retrieved 2 bicycles last weekend in an east trib. Clearly they were thrown off a foot bridge, but they landed right in the a run.

Alas I couldn't take them home or to the nearest garbage, left them well away from the water in the sun to dry out in hopes someone would find use fo rit or as I see near my house, the scrappers would fight over them.

Absolutely man - seems like everybody just want to chuck their Berkley Powerbait (lol...don't ask me why people are using this crap on shallow, shallow tribs) packaging on the banks. That and roe bags...if all of us do our part to fill a pocket or two with garbage on our way back up the banks, it'll make up for the idiotic pseudo-fisherman that leave it there and have no appreciation for the species we track.

Doesn't seem fair that we have to pick up after them, but that's the way it goes. Spread the word on the water too - real fishermen will pitch in.

This sh-t pisses me off. I ever see any one do this i will stick that hook right through your "roe" bag. CLEAN UP your sh-t. This was at a local spot i go to once in awhile.
