Or is there any canadian hackle farms out there that o havent been able to track down? Ive even gone as far as asking gagnons to order some and i would pay markup but still no dice lol

Dare I say eBay?

I'm interested in this question too. You can always call a US shop and ask.

Ya seems online is the only way to go i might call whiting and see how much it would be to ship to canada. Finding a canadian supplier is hard to do ive heard superfly is canadian might give them a look too

Feather emporium is US based on. They have whiting 100 packs that look pretty darn good since you can mix and match colors and hook sizes.

Go to the Collins hackle site, very nice stuff for a reasonable price and canadian based.

Got a link Chris? I'm not turning up any Canadian sites for Collins hackle. All US based stuff.

No luck at wilsons...i dont see why sail wouldnt carry it since so many patterns call for using grizzly coloured hackle yet they have like 5 packs of jungle cock for 200$ each just seems a little ridiculous

Ah sorry I miss typed. I meant to say Howard hackle, Collins is good stuff too though. And the reason you can't find the stuff in stores is because they do carry it but it sells out very quickly (in part to girls who want to use it as hair extensions).

Fenwickfisher, depending what size you're ordering for and if it's a saddle , if you're interested in splitting the cost and the saddle in half, let me know.

Call around to the Sail locations as well, we carry a decent low grade 1/4 saddle for 15 bucks, they come in grizzly but we're out in Vaughan.

I find Wilson's pricey but it's 10 mins from my work so that's a good thing.

Nothing grown within Ontario if that's what you're asking. For stores you'll just have to call around, most places carry it you just have to find somewhere with it in stock. I checked just out of curiosity yesterday and as it turns out the cheap option that we have at Sail is actually brought in by the same distributor as Whiting, not sure if it's from them but it may be a rebranded 1/4 saddle. I do find the stuff to be a little webby compared to good Whitings though.

I use the stuff Chris suggests from sail. For the price of it I have no complaints. Works well for me but I'm no expert.
