Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew what arm of Lake Scugog would be best to get hooked into some nice eyes. I know the right side close to caesarea is the deepest in the lake, But that doesn't always guarantee fish. Any tips on whereabouts to go on the lake would be extremely helpful.

Not through the ice, I've only been on scugog in my boat. I'm going to try near ceasarea next Friday and hopefully land a few. As long as I find some perch and crappie to keep me  busy though i'll be ok.

Think if you go into the holes in either location you can find a few.

caesarea side by the marina. i have a buddy who literally has the lake GPS'd.  now unfortunately, they are catching a ton of walleyes over slot size in the 5-6lb range

As a catch and release angler, 5-6 lb 'eyes would likely be PB's for me.

not good news for people looking for a meal.  

 

m PB for walleye is around 10lb

ok thanks a lot buddy, that was my thought as well. And ive only caught one from scugog, 5.2 pounds so I can imagine theres a few lunkers, but I don't mind. If I get one or two eaters that'd be a bonus.

i hear the crappie fishery in that lake is improving quite well from a bud who frequents it. they sure would be a nice way to cushion the tedium

sweet thnks buddy, I;ve heard similar about the crappie, I love catching them just as much as a big eye... most times lol
