Does anyone know about any ice fishing services on lake wilcox in richmond hill area?

I have my own rods and equipment, but i can't drill holes into the ice, and I do not know how to tell if ice is safe and i dont' own a hut.

Does any fish on lake wilcox? Please provide me with some info.

I want to go ice fishing there, I hear people are catching pikes.

Tim.

There arent any outfitters on Wilcox.  It's a small residential lake.  You would need to drill your own holes but it will probably be worth it!  Lots of species to catch there.

Just drive south to Frenchman's bay. more fish, more holes. I bring my manual auger but sometimes I just fish from holes that people decides to leave.

Take that extra leap and go to Cooks Bay, lots of left over holes.

hands down. Don't get me wrong, wilcox is a self sufficient small lake but Frenchmans has every fish you get from Lake O including the salmo family...

DILLIGAF, is it the actual bay area around the marina that you are talking about?

Dilli, may I suggest not spelling the body of water correctly, so that trollers cant search these posts?

What you said makes a lot of sense, but I have only seen pike pulled from frenhmans during the winter.  Have you seen others??

There are some deep spots in the bay, try using an app. like navionics.

Well i'm not naming a trib that has a run so I don't know if the mods will send me to the chopping block on this.it is very rare to haul in something other than bass, catfish, carp & pike and the most abundant, perch and blue gills. but yes, I have seen salmon being caught as far as the generation areas. it seems rain brings them in as well. and i caught a brown pretty close to bayly while casting on my kayak. I don't have time to target these fish when i'm on my kayak as I don't target big game on this. but i could imagine lots of fish there on ice...
