Do you have a boat or will you be fishing from shore?

If you're fishing zone 17. Whitby, Oshawa any water that has a Lake O outlet will have em.. But my favorite place to fish for pike is Bluffer's park. great for spot fishing pike. Welcome to the boards.

Doesn't matter what weather it is...you need to work bluffers park if you want to catch fish. I fan that place and visit every spot I have caught fish before...I'm talking about 15+ spots...

Your not going to catch much pike in zone 17. Just harder to find. If you want to wait then go to zone 18. Gananoque has some great pike fishing once the season opens. If you are insistent on fishing for pike in zone 17. Trent river. Just a guarantee good day. from either a dock or launching a boat. Ive had friends pull in large pike, crappie, bass, and fluke muskie.

Good luck

+1 for Bluffers, Ontario place and the island (All zone 16), I've had some luck in Pickering near the plant.
