Living minutes away from the Humber River in Vaughan I decided to go for a walk this weekend. I was amazed at what these fish need to fight through naturally and man made to get upstream. I guess they really don't have a choice in the matter as they're instinct driven for survival, and survival of the specie as a whole.

I snapped this picture wondering what the hell it was, not sure if this was placed into the river purposely or thrown out by some morons.

If anyone knows of some volunteer programs specifically geared to the Humberr river in my area let me know as I would like to lend a hand.

There are a lot of manmade wood structures and old rail and post fences in that area that have succumbed to flooding around the trib. I too was trying to find about volunteer groups in that area. If you do find out, please let me know. Thanks.
