Some advices on open places for Steelhead fishing "float fishing"

I am new to the country and new to the City , I live in East Toronto "Beaches" my fishing experience not much but I am trying very hard . I went to some places for float fishing with no SUCCESS I just got to know from reading many topics in the forum that the season has started , so could you plz advice me where to go for good Steelhead fish , I use shenook  roe , please help me to get my first fish in the GTA.

opens everywhere on saturday, check the regulations if you want to fish between now and friday

nothing beats shenook roe, its pretty tough to get your hands on though.

 

lol in all seriousness do some hiking this week on the upper stretches of the major rivers out in your area. Just look at a map and follow the blue lines, you should be able to scout out some spots holding fish and then you can fish them on the weekend.

Much appreciated , so what is the best to use for Steelhaed?is shenook roe ok?what about flys?

nothing beats shenook roe, its pretty tough to get your hands on though.

No one is gonna give away spots, especially on a public forum. Do like the rest of us did back when we started... Pick a river and start fishing!! You're bound to find some sweet spots on pretty much any river you try.

Salmon roe bags are your best bet under a float for steelhead.

check your local tackle store. buy some salmon egg wrap, order some salmon roe. and start bagging them up. if you're going to buy pre-packed salmon eggs for $6 per 20 bags, you will be burning a big hole in your pocket in a month. or you can order them online. i have a few sites i order these stuff but i'm not gonna shill it here. flies work too but opener, it's better to go cheap as the chances of tangling with another angler is high. go roe. it's a cardinal sin to give away spots so better make some friends in the forum....fast.
