Hey guys

I'm looking to head out this weekend with a buddy and would love to know where we can launch our kayaks and park our car around the Toronto Islands/Harborfront area. This is our first time kayaking that area so we have no clue where to go. We will be mainly targetting Pike, which we have a rough estimate where they are (around the islands), but not exactly sure where the best location for them would be.

Thanks!

PM if you do not wish to post your locations.

if you can get your hands on this book, it has pretty detailed info on where the pike are around the islands and harbourfront at any given point in the year.

not sure man.  Cherry beach looks pretty close to wards island, guaranteed you can launch there. I’m sure there’s better spots but Ill let someone else chime in with that.  I don’t own a kayak (or any boat).....yet!   Dying to get one though.

Theres a channel between the islands called pike channel, its right beside the airport, apparently, lots of pike in there.    it might be possible to launch at one of those marinas near the airport and cross over.   again, I’m not sure though

work it real slow around all the structures. fish are still a bit lethargic according to some buds putting in work out there. with all this heat i doubt it will stay that way for long though ;)

You talkin about between the islands themselves, or between the island and the Toronto shoreline?

I think Cherry Beach is your best bet for launching.
