So I went to high park on Saturday and I got my license checked! I'm so happy to see an officer here because there are lots of people who try to fish for the bass that are spawning.

Good to hear COs are out there. Not sure that High Park is where they should be. Yes spawning Bass should be protected. Sorry not really familiar not from T.O. I know a lot of places I would like to see them.

Have not seen one officer in two years on one of the smaller east tribs...not sure why these smaller tribs get overlooked its been a gong show this year worse than usual and not to mention the garbage people leave behind absolutely disgusting!! Could really use some help organizing some kind of cleanup if anybody is interested you could gain somewhere to fish if you didn't already know about it and helping fish habitat and the environment isn't so bad is it?

Got checked by an officer before the opener on the east ditch...it was quite late too. around 7pm. And there was another MNR staff that was just doing surveys...asking what species have I caught so far this year.

in all my years of fishing ive only been approached once to show my licence, that was more then 30 yrs ago , ive lived in Thunder Bay and only seen one CO in the nine years I was there, even offered to show him my licence and he said that's ok , wanted to know if I was catching anything, the last time I seen a CO was at Dalrymple he was coming in and loading up and watching him loading up I noticed he had a tripod with binoculars attached , and as ive always said they already have the answers you just need to answer the questions correctly when the CO approaches your fishing party and yes that shore lunch you had the CO seen you eat those fish and now hes watching for you to catch and keep more , glad to hear there presence is being seen

Maybe they lost a bet, or were trying to win one!  :P
