I've never gone ice fishing , so it can stay mild and keep the rivers open and slush free and I'll be happy.

Agreed! I've been ice fishing a few times-it's alright, keeps me sane when the rivers are locked up. Last year I went twice, the first day I had a hut booked locally, and it was -40 out. Yay. Second time I sat all day long on simcoe and didn't get a bite, was going for lakers. This year it'll be perch or nothing, no ppoint in driving 3 hours to not get a bite. I guess some people find joy in ice fishing.

Darn! Winter is my favorite time of the year to fish and it doesn's look promising this year. I think I will be on ice come late Dec though. Furthur north than usual I guess

I don't get excited for boys but I welcome this one with arms wide open.
