Lots of reports are coming in from LHFC School Salmon Hatchery School's that the Students are excited as the Eggs are starting to hatch.

Fascinating for them I'm sure.
Now if they would just drop the Atlantic program things would be good. I don't think they even imprint the chinnies now a days judging by returns west. Bread and butter fish for charters I do realize.

All the clubs can do is what the MNRF say, numbers we can raise & where they have to be released & my focus is getting youth more into fishing & hopefully down the road things will change for the better.

Cool, I found out recently that Kincardine has a brown trout hatchery / stocking program, all along I thought it was a steelie hatchery.

We release about 60,000 Browns & Rainbows out of Kincardine  & 60,000 Chinooks out of Port Elgin hatchery

The Rainbows are released into the Saugeen River, the Salmon can be released in Kincardine, Southampton, Sauble River & Pike Bay I think & Browns are released into sights from about Point Clark to Pike Bay area & maybe a few into Barrow Bay.
