Decided to convert my current boat finshfinder to ice version.

Anybody has experience with finding compatible ice transducer for Lowrance Elite-4x HDI?

Found this kit - PPP-18I http://radioworld.ca...18i-p-8874.html

but some people say that there is a need for an additional Adapter Kit Model: 000-10346-001

Would appreciate any experience share.

Thanks

Hello. Not sure about that model but Mine is the elite 4x and all I did was buy the ice ducer cable model pti-way , put some pipe insulating foam about 1 foot above the ducer using a zip tie and she was ready to go. I also have a fuse on my cable to the battery.

That kit comes with a pti-wsu. Will plug in and go. What I did is just bought the ice ducer and battery and made a holder from wood and saved my cash

Pretty crude but works ! I used a brad nailer with staples and it took about an hour to build.

Nice. Forgot to mention..,,I used a small tackle box so I can put the finder , battery and ducer in and close it up when I move around . I screwed the plastic base on the top
