Hello! I'm also in Pickering, and I can tell you that there are almost no fish in Frenchmans Bay. My lack of success certainly couldn't be due to my level of skill and expertise...

welcome. Do you fish Bancroft by choice? I like fishing in Pickering & Whitby.

I go after bass, and occasionally will try for some splake (lake trout). I have actually never fished frenchmans! I am looking for some forums about it right now! I fish bancroft almost every weekend, since we have a cottage on a lake up there.

I am actually trying to do some research on frenchmans right now. I have heard about some giant pike, but im looking for bass! Im planning out on going when the ice thaws out!

I fish for bass, love smallies! I occasionally try for splake, little to no luck though! In the winter i fish for perch and splake, also loads of fun!

Well I fish Frenchman's all the time for bass & pike...although I prefer to fish Scarborough Bluffs (not as busy and some spots are peaceful) But Frenchman's is 10mins from me.

I visit a friend who has a cottage a few km from  Bancroft twice a year. Lots of Small mouth Bass , perch and Splake .
