Thanks guys!

I wasn't a fan of it at first but once you figure out the technique, it becomes more enjoyable.

Even if I didn't catch, the surfacing and jumping fish made the trip worth while.

Have to give it to you Pump. When you put your mind into it you always make it happen. That spot you're fishing is always loaded with steels in spring and browns in fall & winter. What did it hit on?

Yup, with a 3way swivel and long leader.

First I tried salmon roe with foam floaters and no luck.  I then switched to a brown woolly bugger and got my first fish.  I ended up snagging my fly so I switched to a egg yolk bead and lost a fish on in.  Switched to a pink woolly bugger and landed my last.

Most of the action was happening between me and the guy beside us.  He must've landed 5 and lost more, brown roe, beads and flies were working that day.

Where can I buy wooly buggers I want to try these things. I have no luck on roe at port D. people think I am crazy but at port I've caught 15 browns this year all on Crankbaits. Husky jerk rapalas.

There's a guy in the fly tying section who is trying to make a few bucks tying custom flies. Get in touch with him and he'll stock you up with wooly buggers.
