Last couple long winters resulted in way too many ripe hens on opener.
Mild winter plus late opener this year will change that.
No fresh run steel this opener .
Fall back opener.

I'd support opener to be extended until the steelhead are gone. Let the fish out east make a run through the gauntlet which is up to CN, spawn up in headwaters in peace and drop back in peace - no need for looganism to infest our pristine, forested waters.

Stop making sense.
I feel opener date should be evaluated every year dependent on conditions than posted date by end of march.

Meaning it falls on the 30th this year.
Possible 5 Sat in month. As you know opener last Sat of April. Works out to extra week wait this year.

4th Saturday in April until Dec 31 for most tribs, is that right? I'm wondering about Mait***d , is that zone 13 or 16? Confused when opener and close is for it.

It's Zone 16. 4th Saturday in April until Dec 31, you need to read the regulations carefully . Each and every river or creek are different. Use google maps to be 100% sure.
