The Fenwick HMX is a good rod for the money and is a little stiffer than the HMG. It has good sensitivity and some backbone. Looks good and the price is right at around $100.

I tried a Fenwick for the first time earlier this year. I now own a Nighthawk, HMX and an Eagle. Anytime I see a Fenwick on sale I almost cant help myself. For this price range I absolutely love these rods!

My fenwicks sit nicely in my rod locker next to loomis and shimano rods. I own 5 hmgs, an aetos and a world class, all of which I would highly recommend for anyone looking to put some very cost effective options in their arsenal.
