Hey guys,

I'm planing a fishing trip the second weekend of April on big lake Ontario. Did anyone go already this year? What does the lake look like? Are steelheads starting to pick-up? Which area should we try? I was thinking launching at Port Whitby and make a run to see where we see activity on the fish-finder.

I am well setup with two downriggers and others but wanted to know your opinion - see if anyone has already gone this year and if they have any pictures :)

Let me know,

Mike

Hey mike.

I m not sure how many fish from boats on this forum. I'd suggest trying Lake Ontario United. They're mainly for boaters.

Go to st. catherines side for spring kings, all you need is a smaller boat, some dispeys/rapalas etc and can get tons of fish in shallow water. Friends have already been fishing there and the bite has started. When it gets really good there are tons of fish and can get 20fish a day easily.
