With the lack of rain lately I wasn't sure how fishing would be. Turns out its been really productive on both coasts in clear or dirty water. Fish are concentrated in certain areas willing to hit all types of baits. Been float fishing and kayak fishing in the past two weeks with good success. So many more vids to edit with no time lol

Yes they suck!! More of an issue on east tribs than what it is in my backyard. I find on east tribs I am either trying to get my rod out of the tree or when I hook a fish the closest log jam becomes a target. Then there is the gear lost. I think I could walk those rivers collecting gear in the trees and make a living selling it lol. On the other hand battling the fish, trees and the surplus of shopping carts in the east tribs makes it more of a challenge.

I hate that canopy in there too, but that spot is always overlooked by a lot of anglers. Thanks for sharing.

Cool vids, you sure do have that hobie rigged up nice. I would love to see it up close to see what you have done. I picked up a mariner last summer and I am slowly rigging it up, no riggers yet though do you find it works well? If you are ever looking for company out on the kayak let me know.

I'm always looking for new yakers to head out with. The yellow yak in the one vid is mine too but I let ppl use it that are up for an adventure that dont have one. Just let me know....

I have almost everything u can think of for this yak... the rigger works great in deep or shallow water. In certain rivers I'll drop it down about 7 or 8 feet and pull a spinner around. Deeper water I use flashers and spoons for steelies and salmon out in lake Ontario in about 80 to 140 ft of water.

sweet. vids you out east or west? i'd like to learn more about yak fishing myself. I have mounted 2 rod holders on mine, 2 shower bars on the side and will most likely will save up for a much better kayak for Lake O. So far i limit myself to frenchman's or inner marinas for fishing. I don't think i'm ready to head outside by myself...

Awesome well have to get out soon. I did the salmon thing last year with dipsy's and it worked well but if I want to go for Lakers I'm gonna have to get some riggers set up.

I fish both east and west. Primarily west though due to my geographic location. It's always good to go out with a friend on the lake but I have gone solo many times. Wind is the biggest deciding factor whether I stay in the river or head out in open water. My kayak can handle some serious conditions where most can't. It is very important to be ready for everything and always let someone know where u are and when u will be back. Anytime u want to head out let me know. I'm out almost every weekend.

Yes trolling for Salmon is awesome in the yak. I did it in the fall too but I really love the spring Coho chase. Nothing fights like a pi#$ed off Coho. TUCK AND ROLL !!!!! The steelies are in the river mouths too right now. Always a potential for an epic battle out there. I love my Hobie PA. You can chase them down and get over them quite easily. Again when u are up for and outing let me know.
