I wish to contact an OFF Admin in regards to the rating system on OFF.  I received low rating and wish to know which members gave me a low rating if they are going to rate me.  Are these guests or actually members... According to my latest top 5 visitors.  They are all on good terms with me and we have shared fishing information.  I' am assuming the ratings come from guests accounts that don't contribute and just collect information.

You need to set up a system where there is a reason and a why with the rating.  Or else everybody will stop using your website and go elsewhere.

Reality is the fishing experts hate to share their locations, colours and techniques.

Chill it's just a site and I think rating is based on post #'s. Location I don't share but color and technique whats the problem with sharing that it's no secret.

people work hard to find fishing locations, my best advice, don't post them for public viewing.

Post a picture of the fish and the water source, but not the exact locations.  And alot of people don't like to share colours.  I was at Bass Pro shops, I saw a customer ask what colours are good for plastic and the person said because he fishes in tournaments, he will never share his colours, brands, or locations. It matters for the competitive fisherman.

fishfreek:  I'm trying to reach 1000 posts, to become a Largemouth bass.... I can't really be the LordoftheBass staying at a Sunfish... 285 post.... however, you will find my posts are informative, with pictures or fishing tips, etc.  whereas other people may just blah blah blah about nothing.

And yeah, I don't care about rating anymore... it's just i went from 3/5 to 2/5 this morning and got a little ticked off... Unlike the ebay system and other website or in court, I don't know who is attacking my rating.

What matters is that I become a Largemouth Bass with 1000 posts that are constructive to the fishing community in Ontario.

In fact, if i get ticked off enough, i'd just start giving every single member on this website low ratings, except for the people that contribute fishing information that is beneficial to the fishing community.

the reason i posted two, was because i posted it on Welcome and it didn't post... so i posted it here... then a few hours later it pops up on welcome too... and because different people responded. Then I'd leave it be... but the rating system is kind of stupid on this website. No identity and no rationale.  That is not a reason... that is not a why...

I think they should remove the rating system and just stick with the fish symbol system. Again, I'm like 5 sunfish right now... soon to be perch or crappie.... i don't really know how it works... but i saw the Largemouth bass people have 1000 posts....

HOWEVER... if you have a low rating, i see alot of people with low ratings on this website from unknown random peoples.... then you can support to remove this rating system.
