Hey so just here to introduce myself.

I may be a new member to this forum but fishing has been my life since the age of 4 years old.

Like most of you, I think about fishing day and night.

I am not trying to brag or anything, but if any new or intermediate steelhead anglers wish to learn a few tricks and techniques to out fish your buds, feel free to hit me up and I will respond to any steelhead/salmon related questions.

Hope to see you out on the water and to everyone, tight lines and bent rods!!

Hey there,

I may take up that offer haha. I just moved to Niagara area and will probably pick up a rod for steelhead/salmon to use with my spinner reel (can't afford a centre pin reel yet) haha.

Once I do that'll I'll probably hit you up for some info on what to use and all that!

Hey tossing iron,

Well if you usually fish near the wall, you have seen me on the river from september to april. poop we've most likely fished beside each other   Just hit me up when you see me out on the water!!

Hey TheTallOutdoorsman!

The best trick I can give you off the top of my head is that you want to show the fish something they haven't seen before. That can be go anywhere from running a mini rapala countdown under your float to mixing two colors of bags together to make a mix of contrast to your bag that the chromes have never seen before. Ultimately, the opinions are endless. Just try something that you normally wouldn't try and you'll fail or you'll succeed but you'll never know if you don't try

I have a few secret weapons as bait, I think I struggle mostly with the scouting / finding where the fish are... and where there arent any anglers!

Its best to keep locations of your favourite fishing holes private from the thousands of people who view this forum.  We all thank you in advance :)

I know how you feel fishfreek

The wall is only good when it's the only pool still open when the rest of the river is frozen over. Otherwise, it's always filled with the worst guys ever

I think it was mid February and a guy built a little ramp (in theory looked good) so he can stand on and avoid slipping down the "wall". Sure enough in ended up in the creek LOL. Good try.

I've been fishing the wall lately and if you get lucky, only some young kids trying their luck on some big fish. At least the kids know they need to cut their line if it's a foul hook. that's a good sign. I'm mostly the only guy fly fishing the wall lately so If you see a dude fly fishing standing on a homemade platform and flip flops. Just say hi.

Hey DILLIGAF,

I went to see the river tonight and I was mortified by the number of guys on the wall fishing with big split shots and 4/0 treble hooks just swinging. I told them off but that only stopped them temporarily.

Hope to see you out on the water bro
