Thanks to fellow forum member, Fenwickfisher, I have a fly outfit to use for Salmon and steelhead. Will be a good starter to decide if I want to carry on going this way. Its a Newfoundlander Rod with a Reddignton Crosswater reel. I found out the rod is made by same company as Streamside, it's a 8/9 weight rod. All I need is some line and some leaders and then hit the water tomorrow. Will post a picture of setup when I get one creekside.

Thanks a lot Mike!

Do a bit of research and make sure you don't cheap out on the line! It is arguably the most important part of your setup. Welcome to the addiction

if rod is made by streamside, it's bang for the buck. backing-flyline-leader-tippet....that shouldn't be hard.

I got line for it today, Scientificangler. It's a line made for nymphing and running indicators. Seems to work well

"You go through flies like you went through women before your wife."

Sage advice from my buddy.

that's why tying your own flies is essential & relative to that method. Ready made flies don't come cheap.
