First Atlantic Salmon!

Just wanted to share a picture and video of my first atlantic salmon from tonight! It was a great hookup on a simple egg fly, with an awesome fight full of jumps! I was out with my buddy from the forum Swany93 on a Lake O trib. What an amazing fish. Quick picture and then revived and released. Enjoy the season guys!

Wow, no mistaking that one for any other species!

 

That's the Atlanticest Atlantic I've ever seen.

theres one on here from a couple of years ago, seems no one can agree whether or not its a brown or atlantic

I read somewhere the Atlantic has just 1 row of teeth on top as compared to the 2 rows the brown has. Or visa versa. lol
Can't remember now.

Beauty of a specimen! The fins on that thing are huge too, doesn't look like a stocked fish.

you're right! thats a wild atlantic! adipose fin is intact
