tried on the grand river today for some smallies. spend a few hours in the bridgeport area and nothing. water looked pretty low. really wanted to get on some bass. anyone know where a lonely shore fisherman might find a decent small/large mouth bass bite these days?

The Grand River has great spots for good smallmouth bass fishing (downstream from Wilkes dam as the fish cannot pass this) all summer long (early summer is best). Try fishing deeper pools. Please practice catch and release though. That river got hammered last season. You should go again this season. Good luck!
