Hey guys,

I'm in the market for some wading boots. Im getting waders too but decided on the Orvis encounter waders. Ive been looking around, and im familiar with Orvis, Simms, and reddington but im not familiar with some of the other companies that make wading boots. Was curious if anyone had experience with a few other brands or had any suggestion. Im pretty set on the vibram bottoms as opposed to felt unless anyone has any suggestions!

The felt boots are cheaper and tempting, but I plan on fishing quite a few different spots so want to avoid transferring some unwanted organisms.

Thanks for any suggestions you guys have!

You won't like felt in the winter. Picks up snow like no tomorrow. And can be slick in the mud. I've had a low end pair of Patagonias for 3 years and they've served me well

get yourself a pair of korkers, they are awesome, lightweight, comfortable, and interchangeable soles, go from rubber, to studded rubber, to felt, and studded felt

CT has Hodgson wading boots on clearance for $29.99

Great deal if they have your size.
