yes in the summer I have a piece of plexi glass that I mount the unit and the transducer arm to and it gets bolted to a threaded insert on the kayak.

Anyone have comments on the Lowrance x4 (not x4 Pro)? There's a used one in Kitchener for $100 obo and I'm assuming that's a decent deal. Any idea if I could pick up my bait while vertical jigging on a unit like that?
