Anyone know what the ice situation is like? Can you get a line in the water at this point? I'm dying to go get wet!

Went yesterday. No luck. When i get to a computer I'll upload pics. One guy landed a 4ish lb laker. That's all i saw. Was gorgeous day for it. Not cold at all. Some ice in water but nothing deterred the fishing by any means. When we got cold we switched spots and the walk was sufficient. Get out and fish!

These were the conditions as of Sunday, January 15, 2017. Not icy, gorgeous! Probably even better this week! I wanna hear some stories about the whirlpool. And/or see pics!
