What's up Big?
With two boys addicted I would think a spare rod would be essential?

We have spare rod, I just need something lighter. My buggered up shoulder isn't liking the 13' rod.

Yeah.
Truthfully for the ditches we fish 13 a pain in the ass.
I find 11 perfect.

Good
You'll love the feather light Loomis.
My rod and reel weigh in under a pound. Lol

I spent 5 hours with the Loomis the other day and man what a difference. Not only light but I can finally have a balanced out setup, no back pain afterwards. It was a way better experience.

The new lightweight outfits make for easier on the arm days for sure! ! I see guys having a hard time landing fish though. Over fighting the fish. Almost like since the stuff cost so much they need to extend fish fighting time and show off the fancy equipment. Like look at this glx bro !! )lol. Not everyone I know just some guys. Anyway enjoy the new gear
Fish on !!

Rod is rated 6-12lb and I will not run anything under 5lb for leader. Usually run 6 as my go to with a 10lbs mainline and 8lbs shot line. I love the fight of the fish but I don't delay it, I will admit the first time I got snagged I was a little hesitant as the rod telegraphs every little thing you do.
