Hello to all you out there.
Do you like I did struggle with interest and an inability to properly identify aquatic insects that affect your fishing. I would like to tell you who I am and what I can do. First I am in the GTA, and I am a taxonomic researcher of Ephemeroptera Mayflies. For the past 6 years I was devoted to the genus Stenacron and am now recognized as a major authority on this genus. I study faster waters so I am very focus oriented to the Heptageniidae superfamily. That is the clinger nymphs. If you can provide quality photos, or samples in hand to me I will proved you with the common names and the scientific names. I am very familiar with mayflies of Bronte Ck, the Credit River, and the headwaters of the Beaver river. Identifications can be done here, on my Facebook group page; Mayfly Identification Of North America. I do work with the two current world authorities on mayflies, and one of them is helping prepare my books as downloadable PDF files.
I do deposit samples to the ROM, Bold Systems, and Purdue Uni Mayfly central.
I am currently awaiting samples of new species coming from north carolina, there are only 12 samples of this Maccaffertium mayfly in collection. I will be dissecting and diagnosing them for range extensions on behalf of Purdue Uni. So here I am, here is a link to Facebook group, and my on the way Stenacron only mayfly website.
