Hi all
As the name suggests, all my previous fiahibg has been sea fishing, mostly from my boat off the west coast of Ireland
I am living 5 minutes walk from the Grand River in Brantford
I was going to get my licence and start fishing

For what, where and when are my questions

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forums! I really recommend this book, it will give you better info than anyone will be willing to offer online.

River systems are great for trout fishing and catfishing. To get started you need a fishing license and some sinkers with any live bait
