Planning on dusting off my carp gear and going to a few local spots!

Just wondering if any other members carp fish and where they find they have the best luck "early season".

For obvious reasons I don't want to list any places but send me a message and maybe we can set something up!

"Tight lines!"

Just an FYI since your into carp, Eugina is having a carp Bow fishing contest this summer in case you wanted to try that.

Hair rig is key IMO.

Thank you fisherman2280 for the heads up!

I don't enjoy killing anything I wont eat so unfortunately no Bow fishing for me!

Perhaps someone else on the forum will want to participate!

water is extremely high at frenchmans. Ideal for some bottombouncing. I won't be doing carp fishing until June, Pike opener this saturday and walleye will open 2nd Saturday at zone 17. If my trib clears up this weekend (i doubt it). I will be fishing the upper trenches for some brookies.

I have my Rapala Shift set up for carp fishing!

Always wanted to catch one on the fly but seems hard!

I figure with the trout just "dropping" out of the river and the near forecast of more rain, Might as well pull out the next species equipment!

Can't wait for the weather to get nicer for the carp to become more active. After all this rain I'll start baiting.

Beautiful thing about carp fishing, you can do it in any weather and as long they are there! It is possible to catch them in the winter if there is an abundant food supply!
