go down to one of the marinas, fish from shore around weeds with a worm and float, have at her. took my 4y/o out today, 3 hours, ton of sunfish and perch landed. she doesn't care about size, just wants to have fun.
i have a shimano ultralight noodle rod setup with 4lb test that we use, tons of fun for those little panfish, and the odd bass we get is a blast!

Lake Aquitaine would be a great place to start. Bring a few chairs and some worms of course.

Hi Hammerbro, I take my kids to a stocked pond called Burd's Family Fishing. May be a bit far from Mississauga, but you're guaranteed to catch fish (rainbow trout). It is a business though so you have to keep what you catch and pay per pound. They clean and bag in ice for you. I take my 7 and 5 year old, and always have a great time there. When they're older, i'll take them real fishing where you're out all day and may or may not catch anything! but for now, i want them to enjoy the excitement.
good luck! let us know where you and up!

You can fish anywhere on the lake so don't get stuck at the boardwalk (dock).Good luck.
