Hello I'm an old-new guy to this forum.

I registed myself before but obviously forget the username So I re-registered today. Looking to learn and find more fun in fishing.

I live in west GTA.. So fishing near Hamilton, or Halton is a good choice...

No boat. looking forward to kayak fishing.

okay nice. If you want to catch smallmouth on lake ontario, go to oakville harbour at around 6am-8am. Go to the fishing pier, and before the pier is a short rock jetty. Stand on the edge of the jetty and cast gold lipless crankbaits, and spinnerbaits (of any colour) and you'll land a few bass from 1-2 pounds. This is what works for me in my experience. The creeks in oakville that flow into lake ontario are pretty much empty by the time bass opener comes due to the creeks warming up so don't waste your time there. If you have a kayak go to mountsberg reservoir which is close to oakville and you can get small pike, and big largemouth (up to 5 pounds that I've seen). For crappie, message me and I'll give you some spots. I can't help you with walleye since I don't fish for them and you won't find them in oakville. Good luck fishing
