Anyone else here going to be in the owensound derby starting next week? I can’t wait for it. I’m taking my ten year old and camping out for the week. Going to teach him centerpinning and hopefully find some waders for him.

I have been the last 5 years and it's always fun. I am backing out now because the fishing has been going downhill the last few years. I catch more fish swinging a fly in the middle of winter than I have the last couple years in the derby...

@ Huron fly -- I figured out if you swing those unwanted chub through the pools they work even better 
. Was catching chub this weekend on a tiny hook and a piece of dew worm. Cut the line put a bigger hook with the chub on it. Move the bobber a bit and swing/float the chub through the pool. You think a tug on a fly gets your heart going (So did I), Tug on a chub is more intense. Just make sure its the right chub
