#326884 troutddicteds Custom Salmon Lures pre-launch sneak peek!

Posted by troutddicted on 20 September 2015 - 07:19 PM

Hey folks,

I recently have set foot into the lure making world and have spearheaded a massive project that has produced one of the worlds greatest salmon lures.  This lure GUARANTEED catches fish or your money back.  The "magic" lies in the masterfully engineered swivel ( that can most definitely dub as a curtain hook ) and revolutionary lure design, once hooked into a fish, does not let go - think of it as a gaff, somewhat.  Its weight and aerodynamism allow it to be cast a quarter mile even in the strongest head winds.  This two part, superior crafted lure is held together with Spacecraft grade AC-224 wire that will not break and that is why we offer a lifetime guarantee on this puppy - you pay a premium for top quality products at first but you get what you pay for OR your money back no questions asked - just pay shipping and handling fees and we send you a brand new Salmun Slayer!  Highly effective in high water, fast water, low water and no water conditions!  Get snagged up?  No problem!  Bring the snag to you!

So here it is folks, I introduce to you the Salmun Slayer - I will be taking pre-orders via PM - please send a shipping address and title the post SalmunSpecial to receive a 10% discount.

Scroll down for the first ever public glimpse of the Salmun Slayer!

haha no way dude - I grew up on ICP - I've never looked at cotton candy the same way.  Just keep plugging away with the fishin' - during the dog days of summer the fish tend to move deeper, go really early or right before sunset.

Ride on homies

#323779 On the FLY...

Posted by troutddicted on 04 May 2015 - 10:36 PM

Someone sounds excited.  I feel the same way, it may have not been fly fishing for me however I can totally echo those thoughts - it can envelop some of us and change our lives no doubt... I certainly fit into that category, along with the previous posters ;)  Are you at the point of getting fishing dreams?

Btw, dope avatar pic

#323319 Dissolved Oxygen

Posted by troutddicted on 23 April 2015 - 04:40 PM

Yes, warmer water has a lower affinity to oxygen.  Not knowing what the answer to your question is, I can only speculate that this is in fact due to aquatic plants photosynthesizing.

#322935 Split shot pattern. Help please.

Posted by troutddicted on 14 April 2015 - 10:12 AM

I try to keep my flouro lead shot free however if I've got some very buoyant rubbery worm on my hook I will throw shot on my leader to keep it down.  Also, keeping the shot off the leader saves time when you lose that leader by not having to put new shot on.

You've got it all down pat - all methods work and you will have to adjust to various conditions.  Have fun

#322180 Pier fishing

Do it - time spent outside can't be beat.  When I was younger my father used to throw coins around the area and make us believe people dropped money - kept us busy for hours while he fished - sneaky guy he is

#321464 most memorable steelhead moments

Posted by troutddicted on 22 February 2015 - 10:56 PM

Wow, this thread has got me reminiscing hard now... another moment was when I took my brother and he caught more than a couple fish.  I wanted that day to be special, as he was just getting back into fishing and I had to get him hooked.  Previously he had caught steelies however more time was spent retying and adjusting than catching.  The setting was great... a long hike through the bush, the banks lined with river rocks, steep clay cliffs, water has a nice tinge of green to it, Spring was upon us.  Man, he lit it up that day.  The excitement was felt all around him.  Once he was dialed in on them it was non stop, laying a beating on them with a 6 foot rod and spinning reel.  Now this guy rocks river fishing gear, slums the rivers and has officially become a trout bum.  I love infecting people with steel fever :)

#320030 Late season chinook

There will always be a few fish that run late/early.  I remember a photo from a couple years back of a chrome chinny being caught in Toronto in March.

#317556 East Creek Cleanup 2014

Posted by troutddicted on 06 October 2014 - 08:10 PM

Hey gang - that time of year again - salmon insanity is slowly coming to an end and two sections of a popular creek in the Samuel Wilmot Nature Area ( located in Newcastle, Ontario ) need our help again.  Usually this takes about 2 - 3 hours to do.  Gloves, water and hand sanitizer will be supplied.

The plan is to meet at the Toronto St. parking lot ( PM for details if you need ) at 9 am on Saturday October 25 / 2014.  We will wait at the parking lot for 20 minutes for any later comers and then hit the water.  As mentioned before this will take approx. 2 - 3 hours.  Heavy lifting is not required as we usually have a few big dudes to take care of that.  A lot of the time we fish together afterwards and shoot the breeze so its a great oppurtunity to meet and greet fellow members.

If you are interested in joining us  post here or shoot me a PM.

Thanks to all
