About Me
I am a dedicated carp angler. I love the sport. What a great fighting fish carp are. I am Canadian Chairman of the Carp Anglers Group. We are an international angling club with members from Mexico to Canada. The club has four directives or objectives. They are:
1) To gain acceptance of the carp as an exciting and challenging sport-fish.
2) To become better carp anglers, assist others and encourage them to join us.
3) To treat the carp with respect, promote the release of trophy-size carp and encourage others to do the same.
4) Most of all: go fishing, share with others, and have fun.

Welcome to OFF and nice variety of multispecies you got there, especially the buffalo carp.
Thanks for the welcome!
I've read a lot of your posts and they have been very helpful!
I've been dying to get out carping. I barely got out last year and was skunked on them all year for the first time ever. All my fishing buddies move away. I'm hoping hamilton is better to me this year. If anyone fishing the hamilton area wants to go hook in to some fish this year send me a message.
I'm still looking for the Buffalo carp picture..I'll post it when I find it
Try CCIW this spring.

I use a baitcaster for carp. It will also handle any big fish we have here in Ontario.

Water temps and the spawn are two factors that affect where carp are at a given time of the year and how much they eat. Carp spawn here in May to June depending on water temps. So they will be in areas where they spawn in the spring. Later as water temperatures increase they will move into other areas.
