#316461 Beads above hook?

Posted by ChasinTails on 24 September 2014 - 04:12 PM

I've been having one heck of a time finding them. I tried Sail, Lebaron, nothing. CT has nothing also. I am in Ottawa so not much here. I saw a bunch that you guys stock on Fisheads but shipping is a bit much for small packages.

just go to the dollar store and get the generic arts and  crafts beads that are about the same size and in either red, orange or pink. I use them and see no reason to pay a premium because they have trout in the name

#303650 fish watching in Toronto/Ontario

i can tell you that 80% of rivers with any sort of barriers and that get trout will have them holding there right now however they tend to jump more as the whether gets warmer. In april you can see them jump quite often at any obstruction.

#303419 center pin main line

Posted by ChasinTails on 24 March 2014 - 06:48 PM

The raven line is amazing, I used it during salmon season and it didn't have too bad memory and it was abrasion resistant, I also managed a few steelers, just remember to keep the middle bolt a but loose

#298481 Gotchas and crabs

Posted by ChasinTails on 03 January 2014 - 10:53 AM

small crab patterns are the best, im not good with naming flies but the (streamer?) the ones that look like pin fish are good, when i go fishing for them i use size  0,1,2 spinners on a M rod 8ft and 14lb mono with alb leader. im not sure if you can but if you can convert that into fly fishing stuff you should be good to go. don't forget to check out the piers there too! you can get sharks, cuda's drum and a lot of other inshore species
