Bronte Pier Chinook Fishing

24 July 2013 - 03:24 PM

(Pardon the new thread, this was also posted in 'Ontario Fishing Reports' section, not sure which section is more applicable..)

Anyone catch anything yet?  I went down last Saturday night after the storm (almost full moon), only couple other guys there and I didn't get a bite..  Getting anxious to hook into some chinny's, but I don't have access to getting out on the lake.  Too early yet for the pier?  What is your earliest pier chinny from Bronte?

Thanks for the replies.

Fish on!

Fish on!!

Hello everyone and thank you for the welcome!  I am 'new' to the forums although I've been reading through them for a while now.  Been fishing as long as I can remember, I'm no expert / pro but hopefully I'll find some room to contribute.

I'm in Cambridge, I fish the Grand for bass and carp, the Bronte pier for salmon and go far north for everything else..

I thought I'd upload a couple of pics for you as part of my introduction.  One is of myself and a bass I caught a couple weeks ago on the Grand (figured I had to upload at least one pic of myself).  The second one (which I consider to be more impressive) is of my three year old daughter and the bass she just caught on the Grand a few weeks ago.  She caught this on a small pink 'Dora' fishing rod and reeled it in on her own!  I didn't realize how big it was until it was on shore..

Fish on!!

Cheers,

Rob C.
