Nice ones!

I love the head shakes and sound of drag.

Welcome to OFF!

I'm also a boatless and carless angler but I find ways to catch multi species of fish locally.

Good luck this season

#335554 Bass follows lure to the boat, doesn't bite.

Follow up lure is what you need.  I have a extra rod rigged with a senko when I see bass follows or I have missed hits.

#334537 Jighead fishing from shore with bobbers?

Posted by PUMP KNOWS on 25 July 2016 - 01:47 PM

Do people use bobbers with jigheads?

  • I usually use this method for panfish.

What's the recommended all-around jig size?

  • It all depends what species you're targeting

is there a special type of bobber that is more suitable for twitching jigheads that are cast from shore?

  • I think Thill sells a type of slip bobber that's weighted on the bottom to give it some weight and to keep it up right.  I could be wrong but you can use split shots to make your float cast farther.

Maybe use this for reference... size up if you want to target bigger fish.

#334083 MY FIRST MUSKIE

Posted by PUMP KNOWS on 24 June 2016 - 11:31 AM

Thanks guys.

I took the time to revive her after the fight and she was released.

Wow looks like you caught it at night, was this recent? If not, what time of year?

Was expecting a small-ish Scugogski but no that is a big one.

It was caught Wednesday morning 2am?

I wanted to catch a fish before we make our way back home.  Walleye fishing was dead with only rockbass hitting our lures.

After we landed this musky we knew why their weren't any eyes around the area.

Say hello to my first Muskie!

We were targeting walleye and this beast smashed my Livetarget jointed smelt.
